Hagar Harpak is a certified Anusara yoga teacher, living and teaching in Los Angeles. She also teaches workshops and retreats both nationally and internationally. Born and raised in Israel, Hagar is excited and honored to be a part of bringing Anusara yoga to Israel, teaching classes, workshops, immersions, and soon, teachers trainings there.

When Hagar walked into her first Anusara class, it was love at first pose. The teachings moved her so deeply into her own heart and immediately created the desire to share the bliss with others.

Hagar loves the many ways in which yoga unfolds, and her heart is filled with gratitude for all of her incredibly inspiring teachers including John Friend, the founder of Anusara, and other leading teachers in the system, such as Noah Maze, Naime Jezzeny, Sianna Sherman, and many, many more. She is especially moved by and fired up about the philosophy of yoga, the tantric philosophy in particular, and holds a very special place in her heart for her philosophy teacher, Professor Douglas Brooks, a world renown scholar of Hindu Tantra, who continues to inspire her in so many ways.

Hagar’s passion for yoga and for life creates a warm, fun, and welcoming environment. She loves teaching all students from raw beginners to advanced practitioners. Her style is inclusive, refreshing, inspiring, and playful. She weaves into her classes stories from the Hindu mythology, as well as stories from her own life, and presents profound and complex philosophical concepts in a simple and honest way. She sees both the practice and the teaching of yoga as an art form, which opens her up to seeing everything in life as an opportunity for inspiration and growth. Her students enjoy a safe space of exploration and expression.

Hagar finds great joy in teaching yoga to all ages, from kids and teenagers, to seniors. She is also very experienced in working with those in need of yoga therapy – people with injuries, cancer, and other illnesses. She believes yoga has the power to heal and inspire anyone who is willing to open to grace.

Her intention is to nourish her students with the fertile soil of yoga – a ground of self-empowerment, open heartedness, and authenticity.
